My sweet friend, Sally Lou Oaks Loveman, of Love Speaks (Oprah audience producer for decades, author & speakers’ sage) said she screamed, Barri, at the tv when she heard that son of a… billionaire, Kendall Roy, exclaim “I got a guy”!

When asked by his sibs how he was doing in the aftermath of the sudden loss of his larger-than-life father on the HBO series Succession, we learn he is seeing a grief coach. I had my grief coaching clients texting and dm-ing, “I got a girl”. (Cue the heart swell). I have also become the first certified grief coach/specialist on Intro. You can book pros from the world of start ups and wellness to interior designers like my pal Nate Berkus and now…me!

I spent many years in Chicago, where my name became synonymous with “I got a girl”. If you knew someone who had experienced a loss, my site, number and social accounts were gently and generously passed along. There is a great article in The Independent calling it a “new way to mourn” and highlighting coaching. This is bringing the kind of attention to grief tending that it deserves. Minus the billionaire bank account.

As we have opened back up to in person events, I am now reestablishing myself in the Westchester/NY metropolitan area.
